11 March 2010 World Kidney Day Activities of Anatolia Kidney Foundation

We organized a World Kidney Day Meeting at Ufuk University Medical School, this organization has created particularly strong reactions and has drawn extraordinary interest. These beautiful scientific activities were organized in cooperation of Ufuk University, Turkish Society of Nephrology, Turkish Society of Hypertension and Renal Diseases and the Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism of Turkey. The meeting started with National Anthem and Homage and then Prof. Emin TEKELİ, M.D, made a speech, who is the dean of Ufuk University Medical at  9.30 a.m. Then Prof. Ayla SAN, M.D. (President of Anatolia Kidney Foundation) made the attached speech. Prof. Sevim Güllü, M.D. (The General Secretary of the Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism of Turkey) made a speech on behalf of societies, too.   We presented the CD show of Organ Transplantation song by Akyurt Children’s Choir, then we presented “Urbanized Nature and Niagara” slide show, all photos were taken by Prof. Ayla SAN, M.D. After 11.00 a.m. panels started:

From 11.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. we opened 1st Turkey Wildlife Photography Competition” Photograph Exhibition (In cooperating with Ministry of Environment and Forest’s Headquarters of Nature Conservation and National Parks, Photo Art Association). This exhibition were collected appreciation and admiration of all participants. Everyone claimed photograph album of the exhibition. We held a cocktail in conjunction with the exhibition. An org player played so beautiful musit at that time.

 
Our activities were not limited with them. We set a consultation and measurement stand in CEPA Mall Ankara for Kidney Diseases, Hypertension and Diabetes. Approximately 300 people’s blood sugar and blood pressure were measured. Analysis of the obtained data will be published as soon as possible.
